Heute erhielt ich eine Mail, die ich schon fast als Spam im Papierkorb hatte, weil der Betreff so komisch war und der Anfang so klang wie die "armes Mädchen aus Russland braucht Geld", aber dann doch las:

Hello

My name is Adriana, I'm from Romania and I suspect I have pyrroluria. I want to do the KPU test but I have 2 months since I'm taking supplements with Zinc and B6. For how long I should stop taking this supplements before taking the test?
Do you know any lab that will do the KPU or HPU test in Vienna?

Also als Labor könnte man doch Orthomedis oder das KEAC empfehlen, oder?

There is an advise from KEAC, not to take supplements with Zinc and/or B6 two weeks before doing the test.
I don't know a lab in Vienna, I suggest to do the test in Suisse by Orthomedis:

Was mich jedoch wundert, sie wohnt in Rumänien und sucht ein Labor in Wien? Woher kannte sie dich eigentlich?

Du könntest noch einen Zusatz dazu geben:
"There is one laboratory in Vienna which may offer the HPU-test:
Prof.. Viktor Dostal, Saarplatz 9, 1190 Wien. But I am not sure, so it would be better to ring them up to ask for the HPU-test."

Gut, wenn nicht noch einschneidende Verbesserungen kommen, schicke ich das mit Utas Ergänzung morgen ab.
Ein Labor in Wien sucht sie vielleicht, weil sie öfter mal dort ist und es in Rumänien keines gibt.

Nur aus Interesse: Welche Grammatikfehler habe ich mir eigentlich geleistet?
In der Mail ist verzeichnet, dass Sie bei Translation Services Agency | Language Translations Service | London UK arbeitet, die haben einen Ableger in Rumänien, da will ich schon einen guten Eindruck machen.
Ich habe da noch zu kämpfen, also vor einem Vokal wird das "a" zu einem "an" bei "an advice" und am Ende habe ich mit "doing the test" noch eine Konstruktion rangehängt, wo ich mich aus meiner Schulzeit noch erinnern kann, das soll Gerundium sein und sehr edel, weils diese Konstruktion im Deutschen nicht gibt, oder war das der Fehler?

Auch finde ich dein Englisch sehr gut. Wichtig ist dass Adriana geholfen wird, sie wird deine Antwort gut verstehen können. Da bin ich mir ganz sicher.

ein liebenswerter Fehler ist Suisse = Französisch. Im Englischen wäre es Switzerland images.google.com/images?q=tbn:LF7VLilufwCsHM:www.gendreck-weg.de

Ein bißchen holprig (da merke ich, daß der Satz von einem Deutschen kommt), ist der zweite Teil vom letzten Satz. Vielleicht wäre er besser so:
I am Rohi, the people there are nice and their English may be better than mine [oder: my English].

Aber gerade, wenn sie in einem Übersetzungsbüro arbeitet, wird sie zu schätzen wissen, daß Du ihr in verständlichem Englisch schreibst.

Genau den Satz meinte ich auch. Also mit den Änderungen von Uta hast du das schon super gemacht aber auch ohne hätte sie dich ganz sicher gut verstanden.

It will be very helpful for me if you could offer me information about a lab. in Vienna that will do the tests.

Salut Adriana,

welcome in the forum.
I'm Rohi by the way.
If it fails to do the test in Vienna I suggest the KEAC.
They send you a parcel with all things you need, you send it back by air-mail and get your result with an advise, which medicine you have to take.
Dr. Kamsteeg, the leader of KEAC, writes good English, as far as I know.
As Romania is member of the EU since this year, you are able to pay per bank-transfer with little costs.
