Garage Rock war die amerikanische Antwort auf die British Invasion, als Mitte der 60er plötzlich britische Beatbands wie die Beatles und die Stones die amerikanischen Charts stürmten. Die meisten der jugendlichen Künstler hatten höchstens mal einen lokalen Erfolg, und so kommt es, dass ein riesiger Fundus an völlig unverbrauchter Beatmusik im typischen 60's Sound existiert:

Ich glaube mit dem richtigen Hippie Kostüm und....könnte ich sogar bei deiner eingestellten speziellen Musik gut abtanzen.

Ich finde die Musik auch ohne die Zutaten sehr tanzbar. Viele Stücke hätten mit ein bisschen mehr Glück auch Hits werden können. So hat der Garage Rock immerhin nachfolgende Musikergenerationen inspiriert.
