Ominöse Pentapeptide in Antiperspirants/Deos

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Nachdem Aluminiumsalze in Antitranspiranten umstritten sind und auch die vielgepriesene alternative Silber-/Nanotechnologie in die Schlagzeilen geraten ist, hab ich jetzt was neues in diesem Bereich entdeckt: Pentapeptide.

Gut, was das ist und dass dieses Zeug aus der "Wundheilungs-/Faltencremeforschung" stammt, konnte ich herausfinden. Wozu ist es aber in Antiperspiranten? Als Schweißhemmer? Eine amerikanische Marke wirbt damit, dass ihr Produkt statt Aluminium Pentapeptide enthält. Wie aber sollten die ominösen Teile wirken gegen Schweiß bzw. Schweißgeruch?

Hat jemand vielleicht dazu ein paar nähere Infos?

Bei der FDA bin ich irgendwie nicht fündig geworden ...

mir ist auch nicht richtig klar, was dieses Pentapeptide-3 oder -4 bewirkt. Wahrscheinlich wissen, das die Firmen selbst noch nicht so genau ).

? Chemically speaking, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (Pal-KTTKS) is a relatively small molecule. It consists of five amino acids linked together and attached to a fatty acid to enhance oil solubility for the sake of better skin penetration. It is structurally related to the precursor of collagen type I (a.k.a. procollagen type I). Researchers found that when added to the culture of fibroblasts (the key skin cells), palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 stimulated the synthesis of the key constituents of the skin matrix: collagen, elastin and glucosamnoglycans. How exactly palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 did that remains unclear, although a number of theories exist.....
