Wer Vitamin B12 Tabletten oder Injektionen erhält, sollte bei Amalgamsanierung aufpassen, welches Präparat er nimmt. Scheinbar reagiert B12 in der Form Cyanocobalamin mit dem Quecksilber. Verträglicher ist B12 in der Form Hydroxocobalamin.

So etwas geschieht in der Realität höchstwahrscheinlich nicht, nur im Reagenzglas.

Im menschlichen Körper wird jede Form von Quecksilber zu anorganischem Hg umgewandelt.
